"I'd been carrying my book project for over 20 years, yet it often felt heavy, isolated, and stuck on the back burner. After the first workshop, I was reawakened to the importance of bringing my words into the world, not just as a personal project, but as a contribution that matters.
I knew my cookbook needed to have some personal stories woven through it, but I came to see that my writing is not only about sharing fun stories of travel, cooking for celebrities, and the joy of helping people heal, but also about finally giving voice to the most painful and life-altering experience I lived through! I recognized that this painful story has deeply shaped my work and deserves to be told. I feel a clear way forward to bringing my book into the world.
Our sessions gave me a sense of collaboration, sisterhood, and support that shifted everything. It reminded me that writing doesn’t have to be a solitary struggle, but can be a shared journey of expression and connection.
